What is Lexercise?

Lexercise is a structured literacy program that combines an explicit, systematic reading curriculum with an interactive online learning platform. The program has been rigorously evaluated through independent research and is designed to support students with dyslexia, reading difficulties, and related literacy challenges.

How does it work?

Students enrolled in the Lexercise professional literacy program meet online with a reading specialist once each week for personalized instruction. During these sessions, the parent or caregiver, student, and specialist work together to introduce and practice new literacy concepts.

After each session, the Lexercise platform provides individualized computer-based games and activities tailored to your child’s current skill level for continued practice throughout the week. Families also receive guided activities to help reinforce learning at home between sessions.

Who are Lexercise reading specialists?

Lexercise reading specialists are highly trained professionals from backgrounds such as education, psychology, and speech-language pathology. All specialists complete extensive training in structured literacy intervention using the Lexercise platform, including a 100-hour supervised practicum.

Many Lexercise specialists also hold advanced certifications from respected organizations such as the Orton-Gillingham Academy, the Center for Effective Reading Instruction, and the Academic Language Therapy Association.

How to get started

  • Schedule a free 30-minute consultation

    A member of our team will meet with you to answer your questions, discuss your child’s learning needs, and help determine whether structured literacy support may be a good fit for your family.

  • Choose the support option that fits your family

    Through Lexercise, we offer both Professional and Basic subscription options. In the Professional program, your child works directly with a reading specialist who personalizes instruction, monitors progress, and adjusts the program over time to meet your child’s individual needs.

  • Enroll with our team

    Once you decide whether you would like Professional or Basic support — or if you would like to begin with an evaluation — we will send you a personalized enrollment link by email to help you get started.

  • Meet your literacy specialist

    After enrollment is complete, your child will be matched with the literacy specialist best suited to support their needs. Before your first Lexercise session, we will schedule a brief technology check-in to introduce your specialist and ensure your audio, video, and internet connection are properly set up for successful online sessions.

  • Begin your structured literacy journey

    With consistent support and evidence-based instruction, many students make meaningful progress in reading and spelling skills. We also offer a progress guarantee: If your child does not make at least one grade level of progress within 8 weeks, you will receive 4 additional weeks at no cost.
